What this site is for
This is patient education about abdominal fat, published by Chongqing West District Hospital, a tertiary general hospital in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. It is a concern guide rather than a procedure page: it answers why this is happening, whether it needs treatment, and which of several paths applies. The operations and the anatomy they work on are explained on the Body hub and on Dr. Mao’s own site, and repeating them here would help nobody.
The distinction the site is built on
Fat under the skin can be pinched, is slow to respond to diet, and is the only fat any cosmetic procedure removes. Fat inside the abdomen cannot be pinched at all, is metabolically active in a way the other kind is not, and is reached by nothing a clinic offers. A waist measurement is not a measurement of the second kind, so a changed silhouette after a procedure says nothing about it. Almost everyone reads the two as one problem, and they are managed in ways that have nothing in common.
What it deliberately does not do
It does not name products, devices or brands, quote prices or dosages, or promise a result. It does not present a cream, a garment, a wrap or a supplement as a way of reducing abdominal fat, because none of them changes it. It does not describe surgical technique, and it does not give a diet or a training protocol: those are prescribed for one person and reviewed against that person, which is not something a website can do.
The limits of a website
Nothing here can tell you which kind of fat you have, whether your abdominal wall is intact, whether your weight is stable enough for a plan, or whether a blood test you have never had would change the answer. Those come from an examination and a history, which take minutes in person and cannot be taken from a photograph. Use this site to arrive at an assessment with better questions, and treat any answer you receive here as general information rather than as advice about you.
